• Parisian- inspired boutique hotel The Vagabond Club in Jelan Besar has opened The Whiskey Library, a high-end bar with over 1,000 rare and award-winning whiskies. The bar offers a membership programme that provides members with access to one of 80 private lockers in which they can store up to 15 bottles of their preferred drop. There’s also a selection of cigars, a range of white spirits and entertainm­ent including jazz and live readings. 39 Syed Alwi Road.

• Holey Moley Golf Club opens at Clarke Quay (#01-01, 3B River Valley Road) on 6 December, giving guests the chance to play a game of putt-putt with drinks in hand. Each hole pays homage to a range of pop-culture themes, from TV shows like The Simpsons and Game of Thrones to classic movies like E.T. and Jaws, plus nostalgic board games like Monopoly. The Insta-worthy venue serves American food like pizza (by the metre!) and burgers (with neon-coloured buns!), as well as its own take on hawker fare.

• Newly opened Eliza ( 113 Telok Ayer Street) is a modern Asian bar and cocktail club with live jazz rearrangem­ents of pop music followed by latenight DJ sets, and Shanghaiin­spired dishes. Some of the nightclub’s signatures include the Dragon’s Daughter ($22) – with Botanist gin, St-germain elderflowe­r liqueur, Peychaud’s Bitters and a touch of vinegar – and Drumz & Sax ($22), Eliza’s take on an Old Fashioned with Old Tom Gin, ginger liqueur, chamomile syrup, honey and bitters.
