Spread: At Edge, be treated to a festive feast at each of the restaurant’s seven live stations – from pineapple glazed bone-in gammon ham with honey and clove, and oven-roasted mustard Angus striploin at the carving station to over 18 varieties of artisanal European cheeses at the “Cheese Theatre”, and classic sweets like Christmas pudding and vanilla spiced rum entremets at the dessert station. There are plenty of opportunit­ies to take advantage of all this: Monday to Saturday lunch until 23 December (from $62 per adult, $31 for kids aged six to 12), nightly dinner (from $98 to $238 depending on the day), and Sunday champagne brunch on 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 December ($208 per adult with free-flow champagne, wines, beer and select cocktails). A special Christmas Day champagne brunch with two seatings available is priced from $218 with unlimited Veuve Clicquot champagne, wines, beer and select cocktails, and Christmas Day dinner is $168 with the same range of free-flow drinks.

For a Chinese take on tradition, try Hai Tien Lo’s Christmas set lunch and dinner menus ($168 per diner) on 15 and 16 December, and the special dim sum brunch buffet ($88 per adult; $68 for kids aged six to 11) on 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 December. Or feast Japanese-style with Keyaki’s weekend bubbly brunch ($135 per adult), featuring an eight-course menu accompanie­d by unlimited Taittinger Brut Réserve Champagne, sparkling shochu and sparkling sake.

For those looking to celebrate al fresco, Poolside Patio is the place to be, with a festive barbecue night ($88 per adult; $44 per child) taking place every Friday and Saturday through 29 December, as well as Christmas Day.
