Win a Painting Worth $8,000!

This month, we’re giving you the chance to win Sentosa Sea, an original painting from Charlotte Elizabeth Fine Art.

-

This one-of-a-kind piece of art is part of Charlotte Elizabeth’s new collection, “Singapore Seas”, motivated by the powerful and often-changing waterways that surround our island. The series is a follow-on from the artist’s popular debut collection, “Singapore Skies”, which was inspired by the incredible sky-high architecture of Singapore and its dramatic and tempestuous climate.

These stunning, tactile pieces bring the rich, complicated skies and seas right into the home and make a focal point of any room.

Many of us in Singapore aren’t able to redecorate our walls with paint or wallpaper, but a painting can bring a touch of personal style. Art is easily transportable, can fit into any size of room and is often a lifetime investment.

About the artist

After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Drama, Charlotte Lane-thomas received her postgraduate training in Theatre Design and Scenography at the prestigious Motley Theatre Design School in London.

The majority of Charlotte’s busy career has been as a scenic artist, working at the very top level – West End Theatre, the Royal Opera House, The ENO, the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and Broadway Theatre. Examples of her work can be seen on stage and screen all over the world.

Following a move to Asia, Charlotte exhibited her first personal collection of work. She works in an organic and liberating way using layer upon layer of colour and texture to create real depth and drawing heavily upon techniques learnt from some of the best scenic artists in the world.

I hope my new works reflect the colours, power and depths of the sea around Singapore.”
