The SMBC Singapore Open is back from 16 to 19 January at Sentosa Golf Club. Aside from four days of world-class golf featuring big internatio­nal sporting names, there’s plenty of family fun to be had before and during the tournament.

#1 Discover Golf Carnival When: Where:

Sunday 12 January, 2pm-6pm

Lower Driving Range

The Sunday before the tournament begins, enjoy a fun weekend carnival with the family. Young ones can look forward to exciting golf-themed activities such as Foot Golf and Tic Tac Toe Golf at the Kids Zone, while adults can test their putting accuracy at the environmen­tally-friendly Putting Maze and snag exclusive prizes. #2 Chip In For Arc When: Where:

Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 January

The Range @ New Tanjong

Show off your golfing skills in this fun minicompet­ition. Participan­ts will need to register onsite and compete daily to secure a spot in the top 10 at the Sunday Chip Off Finale on 19 January. Each $5 donation entitles participan­ts to a set of three golf balls that they’ll attempt to land as close as possible to three different holes. Prizes are up for grab and participan­ts with the lowest combined total distance will qualify for the Finale. Proceeds go to the Arc Children’s Centre.

#3 The Village @ 18th When: Where:

Thursday 16 January to Sunday 19 January Behind the 18th green, Serapong Course Head to the Fan Village for interactiv­e golf-themed activities for the whole family. A wide variety of SMBC Singapore Open official merchandis­e will also be for sale, including mesh caps and iron covers starting from $10.
