Furry Friends:

-

Why they’ll love Dempsey

Holy cow! (Or, more like holy dog, cat and rabbit...) The number of furry pet friends in households in Singapore is expected to top a million in the coming years. Yep, a million! Luckily, Dempsey Hill has everything you need to spoil your fur-ball. Which place will your pet love most?

The Wagington Luxury Pet Hotels & Resorts

Talk about opulence! This is it when it comes to pet hotels. We’re not even sure where to begin! Dog suite? Yup. And each suite has sumptuous furnishings complete with handcrafted, soft, faux leather orthopaedic beds. Cats get the same treatment, only their suites have scratching posts, too. And both have high-definition webcams so you can check in on your pets while away.

But this spot is more than just a hotel. There’s also a day-care and exercise programme, and a spa complete with grooming services. Your dog may never want to come home. (And, when it does, The Wagington can book a limo for it.) But perhaps the biggest fan favourite of all the pooches is the boneshaped pool! You can even book it for private pup parties to celebrate your dog’s birthday in style. 27B Loewen Road | 6471 1689

Singpet

Bring Mittens with you and check out Singapore’s first pet superstore, 5,000 square feet of products that will make your head swim. The brand new store is a whopping ten times the size of the average Singapore pet store and carries as many as 3,000 pet lines. Wow. That sounds like hours and hours of pups joyfully running through the aisles, picking out treats!

Singpet carries items you won’t find anywhere else, and it adds to its product range every two months. Food and treats? Check. Health care? Check. Toys? Beds? Wearables? Check, check and check! The store even has a membership so you can get everything you need at wholesale prices. Too pooped to pop into the store? No worries. Order online and get free delivery at singpet.com.

Jones the Grocer

This Dempsey mainstay welcomes pooches in its alfresco area. So, if you want to take your fur-baby out for a meal, that’s not only acceptable but encouraged here. In fact, there are a number of furry regulars the staff knows well (and looks forward to seeing!). The restaurant will even give Fido a bowl of water, and – if you really want to spoil him – you can buy him his own yummy steak. (And, trust us, the steaks are fab!) Alternatively, you can bring your own food for your pup and Jones the Grocer will provide a bowl.

And you know what will make Fido really happy? The new petfriendly menu the restaurant will soon be offering.
