Personalised programmes to hit your target

1 If you want to make dramatic, sustainable changes

If you’re looking to make major changes to your body in a short amount of time (anywhere from 10 to 15 weeks), then UFIT’s Health Ignition programme is ideal.

According to the experts at UFIT – a leading fitness community in Singapore for the past decade – your weight is 80 percent defined by what you eat, and 20 percent by exercise. So, when you work on nutrition and fitness together, you get a lean, well-sculpted body that looks great and functions better, too.

Health Ignition is a fully personalised body transformation programme that offers an all-around exercise and nutrition overhaul. We’re talking 25 one-onone personal training sessions with a qualified trainer, customised nutrition guidance, daily lifestyle tips, and monthly personalised meal plans tailored to your goals, along with a UFIT recipe book. Also included are various health screens – an indepth Well Tech health screen and report to customise your individual nutrition and training journey, muscle, bone and body composition measurements; and a body fat measurement with a senior nutritionist.

What’s more, Health Ignition means full access to UFIT’s online training platform, which gives you access to trainers even when they’re travelling outside of Singapore.

Why it’s worth it

This all-in package deal is the best bang for your buck. For around the price of 25 PT sessions, you’ll also get nutrition coaching, health screenings, monthly recipe books, meal plans and access to the online platform.

2 If you’re in it for the long haul, but travel often

If you need some flexibility due to an intense travel schedule, UFIT’s Online Coaching programme may be right for you. And, it can be nicely complemented with the PT programme for when you’re in town and can train in person – in fact, many clients like to purchase both programmes together.

Why it’s worth it

With UFIT’s PT programme, you’ll get customised, one-on-one fitness training and access to the UFIT app, which includes real-time messaging, exercise videos, healthy eating ideas and more. All your data is saved under your profile in the app, so your progress can be tracked along the way.

Then, when you travel, you’ll want to have the benefits of remote programming, too. UFIT’s Online Coaching programme provides fitness and nutritional guidance from wherever you are – including monthly recipe books and recommendations on the amount of calories you should be consuming.

It all starts with some baseline testing to identify strength, mobility and balance, and a strategy session – which can be done via FaceTime – with your coach to discuss goals, lifestyle, strengths and weaknesses. Your trainer will design a bespoke fitness training programme based on your assessment, with monthly in-person or phone sessions to review your progress and make any necessary adjustments.

3 If you prefer working out with a buddy

Group classes are a great option if you want to get fit and social at the same time – and UFIT’s got tons of classes, both indoors and out. These classes can either stand alone as your core focus or complement your personal training packages for greater variety.

Indoor group classes

Many of UFIT’s indoor classes take place at the all-new UFIT Club Street in the CBD. These “Showroom” classes are designed to make you perform at your best, whether that be through strength training, cardio conditioning or developing a strong foundation. They include Kettlebell, Burn, Power and Build, which combine functional fitness and metabolic training to target all muscles.

Club Street’s “Classroom” workouts are meant to stabilise, mobilise and strengthen the core; these include Pilates, Sculpt,

Stretch and Core, and there’s also the fun, high energy, calorie-blitzing Dance. (Don’t miss Ladies’ Night for Dance on Wednesdays at 7pm, with drink offers at Burn, UFIT’s on-site restaurant and bar).

New to UFIT? Don’t miss out on the newcomers’ deal: three classes for $45!

Outdoor group classes

UFIT’s outdoor classes are an opportunity to exercise with top trainers in some of Singapore’s most beautiful outdoor locations, including Fort Canning Park, the Botanic Gardens, East Coast Park and Sentosa Cove. You can choose from around 90 outdoor classes a week across 15 locations islandwide! From fast-paced Metcon and HIIT classes to Box (boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai) and strengthtraining Build classes, there’s something to get everyone’s heart pumping.

If you’re looking for a bootcamp-style class that mixes things up, Burn is a great cardio workout suitable for all fitness levels. Expect some mobility and strength training, plyometrics, AMRAPS (“as many reps as possible” workouts), running hill sprints and more.

Why it’s worth it

Training in a group with like-minded people is great for motivation and can make exercising more fun. Participants get to enjoy the group energy while still getting enough personalised attention to ensure they’re doing the exercises correctly.

UFIT group classes are all available via credits that can be purchased on the app. You can buy a bunch of credits and use them across all indoor and outdoor classes. This gives you greater flexibility to try something new or join a different location.

How to get started

No matter which option you choose, the UFIT experience starts with a free health consultation to assess individual needs and goals. You’ll be asked some questions about your lifestyle, and offered a blood pressure check and In Body Scan, which measures muscle, body composition, BMI and more. This data is used to put the perfect plan in place for you!

Health encompasses more than just a cardio workout. Sure, exercise is key to that total body transformation you’re after, but it’ll only get you so far if you’re not getting everything else right along the way. For example, what if your diet is counter-productive to your workout? And, what if you’re doing the wrong exercises with that knee injury of yours?

For this reason, UFIT offers a one-stop shop with access to nutritionists, health coaches, trainers, physiotherapists, rehab specialists and sports medicine doctors. Having these specialists in the same space allows for a more holistic and seamless experience – which means achieving your health and fitness goals more easily. The cherry on top? Every specialist you interact with can upload notes on your metrics and progress on the UFIT app!

UFIT’s brand new Club Street Health and Fitness Hub (21 Club Street) is the flagship hub, with a 2,500 square-foot gym floor, two indoor studios, an outdoor training yard, nine dedicated rehab treatment rooms and more. (Bonus points for the charming shophouse setting!). There are two other integrated hubs, too – one at One-North and one at Orchard.
