Meiko Tailor

-

One of the few traditional bespoke tailors in Singapore, Meiko Tailor still constructs suits the “Savile Row” way: fully canvassed and handcrafted. Plenty of care and artistry goes into each suit – founder Mr Chung (many call him Uncle Chung!) has been honing his tailoring craft for over 50 years, and is still the draftsman and cutter behind every custommade suit and trousers.

This is a family-run atelier – at 75, Master Tailor Chung is very much “behind the stitches” while his daughter Adele works alongside him. The father-daughter team marries traditional bespoke tailoring methods with modern sensibilities when crafting every bespoke garment, whether it’s a pair of casual trousers or an elegant morning coat.

There’s a wide range of luxurious wool available, too, from kid mohair to wool-silk blend, and from merino wool to cashmere from fabric mills like Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Huddersfield and Scabal. More affordable fabrics from Italian or English mills like Drago and Standeven are also available, including fine cotton shirting fabrics from Alumo, Liberty London, Thomas Mason and Tessitura Monti.

For the ladies, if you’re looking for a tailored power suit or a modern qipao, the atelier also offers ladies’ bespoke womenswear and contemporary qipaos.

Special offer:

Meiko Tailor is currently offering wedding couples a complimentary tuxedo shirt worth $290 when placing an order for a Loro Piana tuxedo suit. Quote “EXPATWED23” when you make an appointment.
