The treatment: Fillmed Skin Perfusion Medi-Facial

-

My carefree days basking in the sun are finally catching up with me, and my therapist Lynnie quickly noticed the sun spots across my cheeks and nose during our consultation. A potent yet non-invasive clinical facial like the Fillmed Skin Perfusion Facial would be the perfect remedy for my dry, sun-tired skin.

The two-storey Shenton Way clinic is the first in Singapore authorised by French laboratory Fillmed to offer its high-performance cosmeceutical line, and I was happy to see that Lynnie knew it inside and out. Every step of the two-hour treatment was tailored for my hyperpigmentation, starting with a double cleanse, a chemical peel using the Bright Peel for Dark Spots, and exfoliations. A bit of tingly discomfort was quickly soothed by the Skin Perfusion Hydra Cryo-Serum, packed with vitamin B5, hyaluronic acid and collagen, which was worked deep into my skin using a radiofrequency device.

Massages are often afterthoughts in facials, but not here! My neck, arm and face were given the most amazing massage, with enough force to loosen tense muscles, de-puff and boost circulation. The finale was a three-layer mask: more serum, the ultra-creamy and luxurious GR-Youth Mask (it’s been coined the “ice cream mask” on social media) and a sheet mask to seal it all in.

My skin felt totally rejuvenated, plump and nourished after – and this lasted for days. The best part? With just one session, my sun spots already looked noticeably lighter and my complexion brighter, and this would continue to improve with regular treatments.

The science: Using protocols designed by the clinic’s medical director Dr Kenneth Lee, the medifacial harnesses Fillmed’s specialised medical-grade formulations to deeply hydrate, reduce wrinkles, facilitate cell renewal and address age- and sunrelated pigmentation issues. Using the mix-and-match approach, it focuses on the concept of skin perfusion to ensure optimal nutrient distribution (including hyaluronic acid, peptides, vitamins, retinol, antioxidants, soothing oils and moisturising agents) for nourished and revitalised skin.
