“DAVID HOCKNEY: A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE” AT STPI
“How do we see?” and “How do we depict?” are the two questions this exhibition seeks to address with 36 perspective-challenging works of art drawn mainly from Singapore’s National Collection. Hockney’s creations invite viewers in, invoking fresh outlooks as opposed to that of a mere onlooker. The show joins other major retrospectives happening at the likes of Paris’ Centre Pompidou and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in showcasing the British artist’s works as he turns 80 this year.
