1 THE TIME TRAVELLER
Take a stroll down memory lane with Patek Philippe’s new Perpetual Calendar Ref. 5320G, which showcases many great features of timepieces from its past for collectors today. From the dial design that has adorned Patek Philippe’s perpetual calendars since 1941, to the syringe-shaped hands that recall the Ref. 1463 chronograph from the 1950s, to the emblematic three-tier lugs case inspired by the 1950s’ Ref. 2405, this watch has the perfect balance of past and present for yet another timeless classic.
2 THE BOTANIST
Dior has immortalised its founder’s famed love for flowers in its gorgeous Grand Soir Botanic collection. Comprising a series of eight pièce unique watches, the collection is a study in décor savoir faire with copious amounts of precious stones— including sapphires, emeralds, rubies and diamonds—to depict different scenes in an imaginary fairy tale garden. Each watch in the series features a different exotic bloom that has been brought to life with masterly volume, before being encased in a snow-set diamond case. Monsieur Dior would have been most proud.
3 THE STYLE CHAMELEON
The world has seen many iterations of Bulgari’s Serpenti watches. Yet, its newest reptile may prove to be the most popular one yet with the style-conscious crowd. Equipped with an interchangeable strap system that’s easy to use, the watches (found in steel or pink gold cases, with diamond options) come with two straps in Karung and calfskin, and a choice of colours. But why stop at two when the boutiques carry a range of straps that let you mix and match to your heart’s content?
