Considering how dope a performer she is today, it is surprising to hear that the SingaporeIdol alumnus was once knocking on doors to get her foot back into the industry—years after her first taste of fame at 17. She soldiered on, earning her spots in television, theatre, radio and the National Day Parade 2015, then front and centre at a White House State Dinner after-party in Washington D.C. The Swiss-Indian stage queen has gone on to release a slow-burning, R&B-inflected single, “Bulletproof”, with an equally lush EP to come.
