Parisian multi-la­bel con­cept store Co­lette will cease op­er­a­tions after a fruit­ful two-decade run.“As all good things must come to an end, after 20 years, Co­lette [will] be clos­ing its doors on 20 De­cem­ber,” a state­ment said. Founded by Co­lette Rous­saux, the bou­tique—which sits along the French cap­i­tal’s fa­mous Rue Saint Honoré—is noted for set­ting the blue­print for other multi-la­bel con­cept stores.Thanks to its ground­break­ing re­tail ideas, merg­ing fash­ion with life­style, it be­came an im­por­tant in­cu­ba­tor of young emerg­ing tal­ents. Mean­while, Saint Laurent is re­port­edly in talks to take over the prime re­tail space.
