All the Buzz in Fashion
Natacha Ramsay-Levi worked alongside Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton for more than a decade before she landed the coveted gig of Creative Director at Chloé. She has been described by the press as a cool “Parisian It girl”; one whose youthful energy, creative attitude and quintessential French outlook left enough of an impression on Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, the Maison’s Chief Executive Officer, to hire her for the role. Ramsay-Levi made her mark with a debut full of cutting-edge pieces that advanced the once-boho vibe of Chloé for a new generation of women. Romantic blouses and knitted sweaters were either bedecked with ringlets or decorated with eyelets that provided a futuristic glint, while sportif cropped trousers were elongated with snakeskin-printed boots. As a nod to founder Gaby Aghion’s birthplace, a series of ruffled dresses were printed with Egyptian hieroglyphics— each one sure to find its way into the wardrobes of today’s modern aristocrats.
