STILL TO COME
We’ll be packing our bags to stay at these upcoming hotels, expected to launch in the second half of 2017.
e Duxton Club
Duxton Hill has become a destination for all things hip and stylish. Joining its slew of eateries and watering holes is The Duxton Club, comprising two pre-war colonial heritage buildings to be reincarnated as The Duxton House and The Duxton Terrace, on Murray Street. Expect offerings like a poolside bar. And with close to 160 rooms stretched across eight adjoining three-storey buildings, the hotel is expected to pay homage to its colonial roots while displaying strong oriental inuences. The House is set for a soft launch in October 2017, and the Terrace has an official opening slated for January 2018.
Andaz Singapore
Offering towering views of the city and coastline (guest rooms begin from level 26 and go up to level 37), Andaz Singapore is a ve-star, 342-room outt that will adopt little touches common to boutique hotels, such as thematic design and quirky details. It’s situated in Kampong Glam, and the multicultural vibe of the neighbourhood is among its attractions. Andaz (under the Hyatt group) has partnered with home-grown brands to create a plush space with distinctive local elements such as adaptations of traditional ve-foot ways. It is set to launch in September 2017.
