THE LOCAL APP THAT CONNECTS SHOPPERS TO RETaILERS

Created by German entrepreneur Thorsten Walter and Singapore’s woman-about-town Judy Hunt, Inspify also aims to be the app for fashion styling, inspirations and sharing.

Inspify also helps you style and share.

It started as an idea to bring local shoppers to local brickand-mortars – because the latter clearly need all the help they can get. But by the time Inspify soft-launched in December last year, it had become more than that, providing a platform for round-the-clock fashion inspirations and 24/7 styling ideas.

“Inspify is a whole ecosystem – a platform where you can find fashion inspiration, have fun and connect with friends while you are doing it, and of course, also shop for items,” says Walther, 46, an ex-banker and a start-up enthusiast.

So how does it work after you sign up?

• Start shopping – Inspify partners with 60 fashion brands (including Prada and Gucci) and 12 magazine titles (so far) for curated Instagram posts and editorial content on its homepage. If you like an item you see, two clicks will lead you to everything you need to know about it, from its price and what other colours/sizes it comes in, to which local store has it now. The app will even reserve the item on behalf of the store for you.

• Earn rewards – 2 per cent of the cost of any item paid via the app will be credited back to you, and can be used to offset future purchases.

• Put together lookbooks,

tag products – now, who doesn’t want that?

• Add friends –a messaging function allows you to share and discuss products with your friends.

• Find stuff for you – just spotted a cool bag on a cool stranger in an art gallery? Snap a photo of the bag and upload it to Inspify, and the app’s state-of-theart object-recognition tool will immediately provide all the info if the bag is available in Singapore. If it’s not, it will offer similar alternatives, and you can see how that product is styled in Instagram posts and magazine articles.
