MY ESSENTIALS FOR A PRACTICAL AND PRETTY LOOK
1. Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Eyebrow Pencil in #4.5 Medium, $42
The pencil is fine and firm enough to create naturallooking hair-like strokes, filling brows in quickly and easily. A spoolie at the other end neatens brows.
2. Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-longwear Concealer in #2N, $49
Covers blemishes with a finish that’s like a second skin. Best of all, blendable with a finger, too.
3. Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Kink & Kisses, $68
Adds colour to my complexion. The Air Blush isn’t too pigmented, so it’s easy to control its intensity. It also adds a soft radiance to the high points of my cheeks, like a subtle highlighter.
4. Hourglass Cosmetics Caution Extreme Lash Mascara, $46
I love this mascara. It lengthens and volumises sparse lashes, and doesn’t budge, smudge, or transfer even in sweltering heat.
TO DRESS IT UP: 5. Kat Von D Dagger Tattoo Liner, $32
The flat, slanted tip makes it so easy to flick a wing – I’ve even done it in a moving cab. The formula stays put all day as well.
6. Dior Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge in #851 Ultra Shock, $56
A dark lipstick can pull together a look quickly. Ultra Rouge sets to a soft matte finish that hides lip lines and doesn’t fade much, even through greasy meals.
