1. Embroidered satin miniskirt, Prada Miuccia Prada is a creature of habit when it comes to her personal style – she’s almost always seen in a classic combination of sweater, skirt and heels – which translates into her collections for both Prada and Miu Miu. I’m longing for this season’s embellished skirts, which feature white fabric origami flowers that are inspired by the embellishments on wedding dresses.

2. Black Writings, Ink on paper/heat (46 x 65 cm),

Marija Rin I stumbled upon the works of Lithuanian artist Marija Rin on Instagram (@paintinginpainting) as I was looking for decor inspiration for my new apartment. What attracted me to her aesthetic was how she utilises texture and graphics with such ease and simplicity, mainly through a nude colour palette. I’m particularly intrigued by “Secret Corner”and “Black Writings” (pictured). Fingers crossed that these minimalist artworks will be hanging on my walls soon.

3. Emerald ring, 23carat I’m obsessed with stacking multiple rings, and love mixing contemporary and minimalist designs with eclectic vintage styles. One of my favourite places to shop for antique designs? 23carat, a California-based jewellery brand that repurposes vintage jewellery to give them a new lease of life. It’s available online (23carat.com) but if you’re heading to LA, you can view the rings in real life at the Fred Segal store on Sunset Boulevard.

4. Feather crop top, $165.20, Uche by Amber Uche By Amber (uchebyamber.com), a clothing brand founded by Nigerian sisters Amber and Joy Orah, may have achieved viral fame for its cropped tops that double as fanny packs, but I personally prefer the striking cotton tank tops with faux feather trimmings. These are what I’d like to call “basics with a bang” – perfect for days where you simply don’t have the time to plan your outfits.

5. Fishnet ballet flats, $955.45, Alaia Instead of packing the usual slippers and sandals for your tropical resort holiday, why not style up with a pair of mesh ballet flats? More sturdy than a pair of sandals, but just as airy and breathable, it’s the perfect shoe for humid climates. What’s more, they can be dressed up or down with dresses or jeans. The netted pumps from Alaia is the It shoe of the season, however, it’s out of stock at most retailers. If you’re keen to try other variations, there are plenty of options from The Row, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, Nensi Dojaka, as well as high-street stores like Zara.
