Our testing methodology includes looping a 720p video under the following conditions: screen brightness and volume at 100%, active Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, as well as constant data stream via email and Twitter.

The Surface 2 lasted 9 hours and 10 minutes, which is 35% longer than the Air, and 22% longer than the Tab Pro 10.1. Its longer battery mileage can be attributed to its lower screen resolution and more power efficient Tegra 4 processor.
