Kia Stinger

Presumably named after the FIM-92 Stinger missile, the Stinger is Kia’s latest agship and the company’s rst sports sedan. More importantly, it is aimed squarely at its European rivals like the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe and Audi A5 Sportback. To do so, the Stinger aims to o er compelling performance at a much more accessible price tag. Available in 2-liter and 3.3-liter variants, the former uses a four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 255hp, while the later gets a twin-turbo V6 that develops 365hp. Both models will be equipped with an 8-speed transmission. The 2-liter model gets rear-wheel drive and sprints to 100km/h from a standstill in 6 seconds, while the more powerful 3.3-liter variant has all-wheel drive and completes the century sprint in 4.9 seconds. Top speed is 240km/h and 270km/h respectively. With its attractive price tag and performance, don’t be surprised to see many of these zipping about our roads soon.
