PIN Prestige (Singapore)

SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE!

-

Ladies and gents, may I present the all new Prestige. This book now in your hands was a few short months – and many a long day and night – in the making, but the team and our band of contributing #PrestigeInsiders really pulled together and pulled a rabbit out of the hat. We hope you find this well-groomed, intelligent and rather inquisitive bunny to your liking.

First, allow us to whet your appetite with a few Diversions – a fine selection of indulgences across the luxury spectrum. It’s a degustation menu of travel, home, rides, dining, fashion, beauty, watches, jewellery and tips to make your high life that much more pleasurable, entertaining and fulfilling.

Our mainstay, of course, is the personalities we feature, starting with the metamorphic Susanna Han who graces our cover. She tells us about her new focus on mindfulness, spirituality and giving back.

Check out our new profile columns JOMO and Hustle where, respectively, the charismatic Max Büsser tells us about the joy of missing out on the infinite treadmill of business expansion of his watch company

MB&F (he intentionally caps business growth so he has time for his young family), and the ever gumptious Cynthia Chua tells us quite the opposite (she is on call 24/7 for her many companies under the Spa Esprit Group).

As society magazines go, we’re big on coverage of parties, galas, private events and celebrations, and we meet ladies who lunch on a near daily basis. For a change, we took a Lad to lunch at the Ritz – singer/songwriter Daniel Park, whom you might recognise from America’s Got Talent – and over at Atlas bar, sipped on a champagne from 1907 that went down with the Titanic and has recently been revived by Heidseck & Co. Monopole.

Then there’s Anti/Social, an eccentric little column with pithy observations on rich people problems and the underbelly of high society, written each month by a different anonymous insider who’s just a tad disenchanted with his or her social scene. This month’s droll contribution comes from someone vacationing in Down Under who was caught – some of you might empathise – in the crossfire of a name-dropping contest.

As always, we bring you new perspectives in the luxe life, with lots of good reads and spreads in two key sections: The Look, for what you put on; and culture and lifestyle features, to feed your body, mind and soul.

Like any makeover, change is a process and never done. Our magazine will iterate, iterate, iterate through the revamp evolution. Please share your thoughts. In the meantime, enjoy this edition!
