AXOR COLLABORATED WITH innovative product designer and interior architect Philippe Starck to present the AXOR Starck V collection. Starck’s groundbreaking designs have experimented with different materials and changed perceptions of everyday objects, transforming them into items of sensational design.

Continuing this philosophy, AXOR's first transparent mixer is a culmination of creativity, determination, and a century-long history of expertise and technical knowledge in handling water. Reflecting Starck’s free-spirited and minimalist style, the sculptural organic crystal glass mixer is nearly invisible and encloses a miracle of nature – the vortex – highlighting the beauty and dynamism of the water whirl.

The swirling phenomenon captivated Klaus Grohe (the youngest son of founder Hans Grohe), who felt that the vitality and emotionality of water could be highlighted through the vortex. After turning on the tap of this unconventional glass mixer, water rises up its body to form a powerful vortex. The open spout further connects the user to the flow of the water as it free-falls into the washbasin.

Starck’s creations are designed with the environment in mind. The glass is sustainable and durable, while the flow, at 4L/min, reduces water wastage. The mixer’s filigree pin handle can be attached to the base of the mixer or placed separately next to it. The spout can be rotated 360 degrees and is easily detachable, allowing for flexible installation and easy cleaning.
