Age is nothing but a number and retired businessman, Quek Seow Kee, bears testament to this. The distinguished gent celebrated his 70th birthday looking dapper in a monochrome tuxedo at a gathering attended by close family and friends. Held at the Tanah Merah Country Club, the event saw more than 100 guests, including his long-time friends from primary school who kickstarted the dinner with a wushu performance. Other highlights of the evening included a performance by Henry Chua from The Quest and the unveiling of Quek’s latest indulgence: A limited edition classic Jaguar Lightweight E-type. Quek — who was a racer in the late 1960s — had acquired the automobile when Jaguar announced its re-creation in 2014. The grand unveil was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony and champagne toasting.
