Fresh faces and updated classics
After 15 months, Hermès reopened its flagship boutique at Liat Towers to much fanfare and excitement. Beginning with a cocktail reception, guests were able to admire papier-mâché masks and sculptures by French artist duo Farfelus Farfadets, after which, Axel Dumas, CEO and sixth-generation Hermès family member, gave his opening speech. The stirring fireworks display that followed then drew attention to the newly installed Hermès firework-maker on horseback up on the roof (this is only the second store in the world to feature the iconic statue). Guests also explored the new expanded boutique before adjourning to a secret party venue on the seventh floor, where the openair carpark was transformed into an exquisite party space with lounge chairs and light projections on the ceiling.
