The widow of real estate tycoon Minoru Mori inherited a share of Mori Building as part of Minoru’s estate. Known for landmark developments such as those in Tokyo’s swanky Roppongi Hills and the Shanghai World Financial Centre, Mori Building made the news again when it announced that it plans to spend $3.7 billion to construct three high- rise towers as part of a bigger plan to redevelop a central Tokyo district.
