As part of Har­rods’ “Made With Love and Pre­ci­sion” in-store cam­paign, or­gan­ised a takeover of the re­tail gi­ant’s win­dows along Bromp­ton Road in Lon­don for the month of July. The watch­maker also pre­sented a pop-up store within Har­rods — fea­tur­ing an aes­thetic in­spired by its as­tral skele­ton move­ment — where two watches were launched ex­clu­sively: The Black Vel­vet with Di­a­monds and Ex­cal­ibur Spi­der Skele­ton Fly­ing Tour­bil­lon with Black Spin­nels. IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN and the An­toine de Saint-ex­upéry Youth Foun­da­tion re­cently in­au­gu­rated the new fa­cil­i­ties of the Hos­pi­tal­ity & Cater­ing Train­ing cen­tre (HCTC) in Mae Sot, Thai­land, funded by the pro­ceeds of a Pi­lot’s Watch Dou­ble Chrono­graph Edi­tion “Le Pe­tit Prince” sold on auc­tion last Novem­ber. Set up in 2009, HCTC pro­vides un­der­priv­i­leged Thai youths from the mi­nor­ity Karen pop­u­la­tion with the train­ing they need to earn a liv­ing.
