ON THE GLOW

Sulwhasoo believes the key to success emanates from a woman’s confidence. Believe in yourself, have faith in your abilities, and live and love life as you desire, like businesswoman Carmen Ow

-

carmen ow’s instagram motto is “Live everyday like it’s your last”. A director at the Clydesbuilt Group, she is as comfortable in a Balenciaga jacket at the construction site, as in a Zuhair Murad lace jumpsuit in the front row. Always dressed for success, she balances work and play with equal finesse.

“A woman with confidence maintains good eye contact. So stand tall and carry yourself with poise, attitude and positivity,” Ow says.

Staying on the go means her makeup must not only stay fresh but require minimal touch-ups. That’s why Ow loves Sulwhasoo’s new Perfecting Cushion EX foundation. Upgraded with an unique Slim Fit High Coverage formula, which allows pigments to disperse in water rather than oil, it glides on smoothly and blends well to give long-lasting coverage. A patented JAUM Balancing Complex also helps replenish yin energy to restore skin’s balance. It is available in seven shades (including pink to correct sallowness and beige to cover redness) and has SPF 50+/ PA+++.

What should we know about you? I am enjoying the (end of) my twenties. I love spending time with loved ones, I indulge in travelling and am a bit of a dessert monster! What is confidence to you? Confidence is being comfortable in my own skin and being myself. Define success. Making the people around me proud of who I am.

If you could become anyone for a day, who

would it be and why? Hermione Granger — 24 hours of adventures in the magical world of Harry Potter, and one of the brightest witches around — yes please!

What are your passions? Travelling and planning these trips. A close second would be shopping, then learning about wine, make-up and cars. I picked up snowboarding recently so that’s my latest obsession! Any exercise regime? I do hot yoga and other times I work out at home.

The greatest challenge I’ve ever faced is… My husband. (Laughs.) My biggest achievement is… My husband. (Laughs again.)

Greatest regret? Je ne regrette rien, French for “I have no regrets”. I believe we should always look forward to the future; learn from our mistakes but never regret what we’ve done.
