What excitement it was for Prestige to host an exclusive cocktail party for French heritage brand Fauré Le Page’s first boutique in Southeast Asia, which opened in June 2019. The maison, which started as a firearms manufacturer in 1717 before concentrating on luxury leather goods, took the opportunity to present its savoir faire and the vision behind its Singapore storefront, which is depicted as a captivating tropical garden accented by the brand’s signature yellow throughout. Every one of Fauré Le Page’s nine stores worldwide boasts a unique frontage designed by its artistic director Augustin de Buffévent as a tribute to its home city. At the Takashimaya S.C. boutique, nearly 30 guests were treated to champagne, hors d’oeuvres and a private tour of the premises. Geraldine Laborie and her team from FJ Benjamin, the brand’s local partner, also held a presentation on the latest collection and shared interesting anecdotes of the maison’s legacy. Bestsellers include the Daily Battle, a shopping tote that features adjustable straps with 17 holes; the Calibre 21, a satchel-style handbag featuring a pistol-shaped front pocket; the boxy evening Boum Box clutch; the Envelope Triomphe, a clutch swathed with military-style “medals”, and its pistol-shaped coin purses and wristlets. Invitees were particularly drawn to the Singapore exclusives, especially the alligator clutches, monogrammed belt buckles and the orchid “medal”.
