GR3AT SNAPS
Huawei P20 Pro.
Since the dawn of the smartphone, manufacturers have promised us the ability to take digital camera-grade photos with our mobile devices. And while we’ve come a long way from the grainy, pixelated shots taken by firstgeneration devices, there hasn’t quite been something truly worthy of supplanting the digital camera.
But, ladies and gentlemen, that day just might be today. Meet Huawei P20 Pro, armed with a trio of rear-facing cameras, one-upping (literally) the pair of rear-facing cameras most flagship smartphones have today.
There’s a 40MP main camera, an 8MP one for telephoto shots and a 20MP lens whose only job is to snap monochrome shots.
The results are viewed on a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 2240x1080 pixel resolution. As expected of most flagship devices these days, it get an ultra-tall 18.7:9 aspect ratio and a notch to maximise screen real estate.
Previously available in three colours, including Twilight (a chromatic purple), a new colourway, Pearl White has just been added to the range. The retail price for all colours stands at S$1,148 at Huawei’s concept stores, telcos, major electronics stores and online at Lazada.
