But there would have been noth­ing to el­e­vate if it didn’t have a rich culi­nary her­itage that it calls its own, to be­gin with. Be­ing a mul­ti­cul­tural so­ci­ety has blessed us with cui­sine that is var­ied, colour­ful, and in­ter­ac­tion be­tween the var­i­ous tra­di­tions have given cre­ative chefs new room and added vo­cab­u­lary with which to cre­ate new dishes, around which the idea of a “na­tional cui­sine” can be­gin to take root.
