BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS

This is not the first time that Chanel has delved into the world of coloured gems. Its Riviera-inspired Flying Cloud High Jewellery collection sported hints of blue sapphires and lapis lazuli. But the Coromandel collection takes on the entire spectrum of hues as Chanel demonstrates its newly-attained skills of procuring and working with coloured gems. The Calligraphie Florale bracelet is a white gold creation set with white diamonds, brown diamonds, pink sapphires, black spinels and tsavorite garnets. It is an interesting move given that the colour palette at the French luxury house for its watches and jewellery has largely been monochromatic over the last decade.
