SKILLED APPROACH

Two things stood out for this collection as seen in the pair of Fleur de Laque earrings. One, Chanel showed great dexterity and an expert aesthetic eye in mixing and matching materials of different textures and colours to form the fan-shaped earrings with dangling pearls. Two, the French house pushed the boundaries and re-interpreted elements of the coromandel screens to create the highly wearable pieces instead of taking the safe route of replicating the art work on the panels.
