A Matter of Time
The poetic travelling exhibition by Hermès featuring the elegant timepieces of its new Slim d’hermès collection arrives on our shoresres
rchestration of time, the travelling exhibition by Hermès descending upon the Grand Colonnade South at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands from June 16 to 26, will remind you of the times you got hypnotised by the swinging pendulum of your family’s grandfather clock. Instead of the physical components of the clock, however, a video showcase inspired by the maison’s new collection of Slim d’hermès watches will have you mesmerised. Conceptualised by French artist Eric Vernhes, the exhibition is anchored by five visual showcases, each conveying a special tale of the collection. Moving clock-like displays of the timepieces’ distinct numerals will also be featured, to spotlight the quirky font designed by French typographer Philippe Apeloig just for Hermès. The Slim d’hermès collection—hermès’ first new watch collection in 12 years—was unveiled at Baselworld 2015, and at this year’s show in March, it was introduced with a grand feu enamel dial in a 100-piece limited edition.
