THE SPRING GALA DINNER

When women put on their creative hats, a great idea usually emerges. This was evidently what transpired when Betty Chen, president of the Chinese Women’s Association and Geneviève Grosliere, immediate past president of Association Française de Singapour, put their heads together and jointly organised The Spring Gala Dinner. The highlight of the evening was a fashion show presented by Eskpade, which saw 24 stylishly white-clad ladies, including Nada Jumabhoy, Meaghan See and Miranda Walsh, walking the runway wearing stunning hats designed and made by Paris-trained milliner Kristine Hakim. As dinner commenced, guests were treated to the superlative vocals of LA Benjamin from Sing’theatre as well as singing extraordinaire and CWA member, Noor Quek.
