NANA AU-CHUA’S CNY LUNCHEON

At Nana Au-chua’s annual Chinese New Year luncheon, held at Empress restaurant at the Asian Civilisations Museum in January, the ladies-only crowd had their fashion game face on. As a warm welcome to spring, there were no lack of festive colours and floral accents in the room. Joining the ladies were 120 cuddly chick plushies that decorated the tabletops and doubled as door gifts that many were pleased to take home as mementos of what has become a tradition for this time of the year—a joyous afternoon of lo hei, good food and catching up with friends.
