4 Who says short cocktail dresses won’t make an impact on the red carpet? With a “mask” motif created with hand-embroidered sequins and crystals, Williams certainly turned heads in this long-sleeved ’60s-style swing dress at the 2017 BAFTA Awards. It took seamstresses 43 hours to embroider the image, before the red sequinned “flames” were added for depth and dimension. A total of 390,000 sequins and 1.3 million stitches were needed to create the dress.
