Britain’s Prince Harry in Singapore for the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup
It takes place in a different city each year to ensure the world hears its message, as this heart-racing programme champions a heartbreaking cause. The event in question is the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup, the annual fundraiser of the charity co-founded by Britain’s Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006. Sentebale’s flagship event raises funds to support vulnerable Hiv-affected children and youths in the southern African countries of Lesotho and Botswana, which have some of the highest infection rates globally. After a successful fundraiser in Palm Beach, Florida last year, the by-invitation-only polo event is coming to Singapore for its 2017 edition, making its debut in Southeast Asia on June 5. Held at the Singapore Polo Club, the event will see well-heeled polo enthusiasts rubbing shoulders with Prince Harry and Argentine polo star and Sentebale ambassador Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, who will battle it out on the field under different teams. But whether you are Team Harry or Team Nacho, this is the event to be at this June. sentebale.org
