A NOD TO HISTORY The year 2018 marks the 125th anniversary of Mikimoto’s famous Akoya cultured pearl. The brand has created many exceptional pieces throughout its history, including this stunning Yaguruma sash clip from 1937. It could be used in 12 interchangeable configurations, including as brooches, rings and hair ornaments. Mikimoto has also created a modern interpretation of this heritage piece in the form of the Yaguruma collection, which was just released this year. All the pieces feature art-deco inspired motifs, much like the original clip pictured here
