CARTIER WOMEN’S INITIATIVE AWARDS 2018
The applications for the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards 2018 poured in by the thousands. Some 2,800 proposals from 130 countries were submitted, and many highlighted the entrepreneurial talent of women around the world in tackling pressing global issues. But only six ideas were eventually picked and the results were unveiled at the annual awards ceremony held at Capella Singapore in April. Singapore Tatler invited some of our entrepreneurial friends to attend the prestigious ceremony. Besides witnessing the unveiling of the laureates, guests also had the opportunity to attend a specially curated Ted session hosted by British TV presenter Sandi Toksvig. This was a new partnership between the awards and the media organisation.
