CARTIER WOMEN’S INITIATIVE AWARDS 2018

The applicatio­ns for the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards 2018 poured in by the thousands. Some 2,800 proposals from 130 countries were submitted, and many highlighte­d the entreprene­urial talent of women around the world in tackling pressing global issues. But only six ideas were eventually picked and the results were unveiled at the annual awards ceremony held at Capella Singapore in April. Singapore Tatler invited some of our entreprene­urial friends to attend the prestigiou­s ceremony. Besides witnessing the unveiling of the laureates, guests also had the opportunit­y to attend a specially curated Ted session hosted by British TV presenter Sandi Toksvig. This was a new partnershi­p between the awards and the media organisati­on.
