If you think a mid-40s birthday is a depressing affair filled with existential self-questioning, you obviously haven’t been to Fanty Soenardy’s birthday party where the only questioning that took place was whether or not you needed a refill of Hennessy. The Singapore society circuit fixture decided that, for her, hitting 45 was going to be a glittery rite of passage, fuelled by copious amounts of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and witnessed by some 50 boisterous guests. Good thing then that the over-the-top shenanigans took place at tucked-away restaurant Buona Terra.
