SALVATORE FERRAGAMO
All eyes were on the debut ready-to-wear collection of Paul Andrew, who was promoted to creative director from his role as the Italian house’s womenswear shoe designer. The shirts and shirt dresses with stiff collars (accented with collar pins) and tailored coats were clearly influenced by the house’s menswear designer, Guillaume Meilland, who showed a matching collection alongside Andrew’s, and paid tribute to Katharine Hepburn’s inimitable borrowed-from-the-boys look.
