Burlamacco is an unpretentious restaurant that focuses on authentic food and wine. The broad starter selection includes stewed tripe, octopus tentacles and tuna tartare with avocado burrata; the last dish is particularly memorable with its mustard and soya seasoning. The homemade pastas are absolutely gorgeous, especially the perfectly al dente pappardelle with pork leg ragout and the jet-black squid ink risotto. The main course includes the outstanding 48-hour braised short ribs and the rack of lamb, as well as a good selection of seafood, including the very satisfying stew with generous portions of seafood. Interesting Italian wines are plentiful here, too.
