The yam wun sen makes for a good appetiser; the fresh, sweet prawns and chicken balance beautifully with the springy, slightly spicy vermicelli. Seafood lovers will do well to order the gung pao—succulent prawns grilled to perfection and garnished with a heady garlic sauce. Another must-try is the pla neung manao; the presentation of the steamed sea bass, studded with birds’ eye chilli and garlic, is impressive. When you squeeze in the lime juice, it not only tempers the spiciness, but rounds off the flavours nicely. Wash off the spice with mango sticky rice.
