Apart from the usual repertoire of Cantonese classics and seafood (which the expansive menu offers aplenty), executive head chef Jason Lau, in consultation with the founding Chua brothers, has a line-up of upgraded “zi char” dishes that are uniquely theirs, such as the grilled pork with plum sauce—perhaps as an ode to their industrial-canteen-to-big-league roots. What they lack in finesse, they certainly make up for with the creativity of certain dishes that can’t be found elsewhere, coupled with the sheer breadth of the menu. Service is warm and friendly, but can be visibly stretched when the restaurant is full.
