Golden Peony takes Chinese fine dining to new heights with an array of wellexecuted dishes presented superbly, creating a feast for the eyes as well. Helmed by celebrity chef Li Kwok Kwong, he takes traditional Cantonese fare and pairs it with international flavours and unexpected textures, such as the beautifully presented London duck pancake roll with just the right balance of textures between the duck meat, the crunchy cucumber and the crispy tofu skin. Be sure to order the braised dong po pork belly as well, as it’s cooked for eight hours to achieve that succulent tenderness and melt-inyour-mouth texture. The crispy mantou bun is the perfect accompaniment for the meat, as it can be used to finish the rich sauce that’s been stewing in the pot.
