Set amidst the colonial splendour of the newly refurbished Raffles Hotel in what used to be the Raffles Grill, the dining room has been given a new lease of life with pastel hues, elegant banquettes and fresh peonies juxtaposed against bronze chandeliers. From the trio of canapés to the opening act, the femininity of chef Annesophie Pic’s cuisine is evident in the Asian-inflected menu, which combines her predilection for using alcoholic beverages such as French liqueurs and whisky in the sauces with her love of Japanese ingredients, such as Hokkaido sea urchin and Saga beef. Chef de cuisine Kevin Gatin does an admirable job in executing her vision while discovering new spices and items that Pic can experiment with in France. The combination of elegant cooking, a selection of unique wines made especially for Pic and the friendly service led by Janet Lee makes this an ideal venue for romantic moments and grand gatherings.
