With its trendy, muted decor, this 46-seat Italian restaurant provides an everchanging streetscape from the long glass front wall. Thin, curled ribbons of beautifully marbled beef carpaccio delight the palate with an elusive whisper of cherry blossom vinegar combined with fragrant truffle dressing, tangy capers and a scattering of golden parmigiano, resulting in a work of art presented on a plate. A dome of al dente spaghetti sits proudly beside an attractive bright-red half-lobster from Maine, dressed resplendently with a bright and sweet tomato sauce. Cooked just right, the delicate flesh of the crustacean is easily removed from its carapace and claw. There is also a fine steak, prepared as requested, to look forward to. A decidedly tipsy tiramisu to end the meal leaves a memorable impression. Wines from Italy take centre stage, including options by the glass, alongside labels from various other winemaking regions.
