A welcome appetiser at The Lighthouse, the ricotta “cloud” is a light, airy ball of ricotta served with shredded porcini mushroom, herb purée and extravagant black truffles atop a warm and comfortingly scrumptious wild mushroom ragout. The cleverly named Neapolitan-style open ravioli appears like a single portion of lasagne, with soft, silky pasta blanketing creamy mozzarella cheese espuma and tender beef ragout. Just as memorable, the angel-hair pasta comes with generous chunks of luscious Boston lobster drizzled with an aromatic lobster bisque. For a hearty main, the Australian lamb rack is grilled to pink perfection and served with fresh artichoke, pink garlic and a parsley Marsala sauce. The food here is as memorable as the view, and the service is warm, friendly and attentive, with knowledgeable and wellbriefed staff who are able to recommend wines and dishes confidently.
