As far as buffet restaurant­s go, The Line is one of the best with a spread that would satiate even the biggest appetites. Seafood lovers should start with the selection of fresh seafood, which includes crabs, prawns and mussels, as well as salmon and tuna sashimi. As you work your way through the 16 live kitchens, stop for the spiced chicken or fish cooked in the tandoori ovens, or savour the chicken masala and palak paneer with freshly made naan or roti prata. Equally hearty picks include noodles with a choice of chicken soup, laksa or lor mee broth. While the rich laksa is an obvious favourite, the lor mee is surprising with its light and slightly sweet flavours. Leave room for dessert, which includes a Nonya kueh selection. The light and crispy bread and butter pudding deserves special mention, but the delicate flavour of the ondeh-ondeh cake wins hands down. The Line is a gem with a spacious interior that offers various options for seating, from banquette to round tables, perfect for gatherings small or large.
