Sabio by the Sea is a great place to unwind after work, given its casual al fresco space and views of the harbour. The calming but stylish interiors, complete with comfortable chairs that face the sea, ensure you’re in the right mood as you tuck into delicious tapas and refreshing drinks. Start with a jug of sangria and order a couple of Spanish favourites to share. Always a must is the grilled octopus, which comes with a garlic-flavoured purple mash and paprika, and the jamón Serrano with Manchego cheese and Lombard pepper skewers. If you’ve come with a big appetite, go for the paella de pescado, a tomatobased seafood paella studded with squid, seabass, mussels, clams and shrimp, and prawns cooked with extra-virgin olive oil and garlic in a pan. There’s no better way to end the meal than with the crowd-pleaser churros, deepfried to a crisp finish and served with caramel or house-made chocolate sauce.
