Savour exquisite gourmet meals all year round at Asia’s first Michelin chef showcase restaurant, Curate at Resorts World Sentosa

-

iscerning taste buds can now get their Michelin-starred cuisine fix whenever they fancy and without flying the distance as Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) opens the region’s first Michelin chef showcase restaurant, Curate.

Step into luxurious interiors of wood, where seasons are subtly represented by the transition of colour palettes. Adding to the grandeur of the ethereal dining room, which is accented in luxurious marble and copper, are a unique standalone cellar and an open kitchen where the culinary creativity happens.

The birth of Curate is heralded by the launch of its Art at Curate series, organised by RWS together with Michelin Guide Singapore and Robert Parker Wine Advocate.

There will be four events throughout the year, featuring an outstanding line-up of Michelinstarred chefs from around the world, each with their own interpretation of modern European cuisine. Each visiting chef will curate an exclusive tasting menu and will also collaborate with the resident chef to create a signature menu to be served at the restaurant before the next event.

Meanwhile, wine authority Robert Parker Wine Advocate’s expert team of reviewers will personally handpick the wine pairing from a crop of toprated and limited-edition wines from the most sought-after producers around the world.

The inaugural Art at Curate edition, which runs until May 6, features three-star Michelin chef Massimiliano Alajmo, whose dishes are well-known for capturing all the five senses, especially the olfactory, leaving delightful lingering memories of the exquisite meal.

The Italian was the youngest chef ever to clinch the highly coveted three star rating when he was just 28 in 2002. He oversees the kitchens of his family restaurants Le Calandre, Quadri and La Montecchia, which have an enviable collective bounty of five Michelin stars among them.

Take heart even if you didn’t catch chef Alajmo while he was here—curate is still offering his signature lunch and dinner menus, which include his famed cuttlefish cappuccino, saffron risotto with liquorice powder, and lamb “alla Milanese”. Get a taste of his culinary creations, which feature exquisite seasonal ingredients arranged like poetry on a plate, and you too, will give him full marks.
